E- Commerce Operations Manager

The Company:

Established in North Monaghan in 2005, Bragan Truck Van and 4x4 Accessories Limited (Bragan) is a customer-driven designer, manufacturer & provider of accessories for trucks, vans and 4x4 vehicles worldwide. Bragan supplies to trade and private customers via a strong on-line presence and customer service centre.

Services are based on core competencies in the areas of e-commerce, logistics (warehouse dispatch), and customisation.

The main operations functions of Bragan include: (1) inventory management (2) IT systems optimisation (3) accounts management (4) product customisation (5) packing and (6) shipping

The Position:

This role will report directly to the MD and act as a pivotal business lead helping to shape strategy; process improvements and profitability, with a focus on developing and delivering operational strategies across the enterprise. At the core, the successful candidate will manage all day to day operational functions.


  • Senior member of staff providing operational leadership and strategic direction to the business
  • Support operations strategy organically and integration across the business
  • Support and enhance the company’s business excellence throughout the operational organization
  • Drive and fulfil fiduciary duties and responsibilities incorporated in this position
  • Develop and apply operational metrics to assure each area achieves high performance and reporting back to the GM.
  • Lead the Lean programme to deliver continuous performance improvements
  • Build and support IT operational competence of the organisation in support of strategic direction
  • Maintain a culture of Teamwork, Talent Development, Project Management and Continuous Improvement
  • Ensure sound application of project management methodologies and coordinate projects within areas of responsibility
  • Develop and maintain valuable professional relationships with all stakeholders both internally and externally

· Understanding and commitment to customer service

· Displaying the interest and confidence to assess and question processes and communicate the critical nature of quality to everyone

· Commitment to ensuring the correct completion of all paperwork and/ or computerized systems on a daily basis and emphasizing the absolute need to follow procedures as laid out in SOPs.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Minimum 3 to 10 years’ experience demonstrating excellence in operational management
  • Track record in operations improvements in a similar role
  • Leadership skills, with an ability to bring team along the Continuous Improvement journey
  • Team player, capable of working with others to drive company performance
  • Ability to influence, persuade and negotiate with all stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Ability to manage multiple cross-functional projects concurrently
  • Highest level of professionalism and integrity
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to rationalise situations, arrive at conclusions and articulate position on complex issues
  • Operates and inspires the highest ethical, moral and legal standards
  • Strong commercial and operational acumen
  • Exercises confidentiality and discretion as required
  • Ability to cope with competing demands and prioritise tasks
  • Participate in Performance Appraisal Process on an ongoing basis

Desirable Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficient in IT systems, including previous experience with order management systems.
  • Strong in quantitative analysis, excel and logical thinking
  • Demonstrable experience in e-commerce, including eBay and Amazon
  • Warehousing and/or supply chain management experience
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry

Terms and Conditions

Length/ Type of Contract: Full Time/ Permanent

Rate of pay: €40-80k DOE

Probationary Period: 6 months

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent


  • Managing: 2 years (Preferred)


  • A-Level or equivalent (Preferred)
